A thief grabbed and forced a terrified shop worker to open the till during a robbery at a Stockport video store. The man walked into the Offerton Video shop on Turncroft Lane and went behind the counter, demanding cash.

Officers in Stockport are urging elderly residents to report verbal abuse to them after youths were arrested for racially-abusing an 89-year-old woman. More than 180 offenders were arrested Thursday 24th July in GMP's summer crackdown on burglary, bringing the grand total of arrests to almost 1,150 since the beginning of June.
